WHAT ARE WE LEARNING: How to brainstorm ideas for stories that we will use to create characters.
WHY IS IT IMPORTANT: The way characters look depends on what kind of story they are created for. The more we know about the story, the more ideas we have for how to draw our characters.
HOW WILL MY TEACHER KNOW WHAT I LEARNED: You will complete a brainstorming activity to create a basic story idea that includes a subject, genre, setting and mood.
EXAMPLE: INDIANA JONES IS ABOUT LOST TREASURE
EXAMPLE: SLEEPING BEAUTY IS SET IN A MEDIEVAL KINGDOM
EXAMPLE: MAD MAX IS POST-APOCALYPTIC
EXAMPLE: THE MOOD OF E.T. IS HEART-WARMING
