WHAT ARE WE LEARNING: Value drawing with silhouettes. Value is the range of shading from light to dark. We can use silhouettes to draw objects and people.

WHY IS IT IMPORTANT: For some people, drawing the silhouette of something will be easier than drawing the contours of its edges. Being able to practice multiple illustration methods can help you overcome hurdles in your drawing practice.
