WHAT ARE WE LEARNING: Today we will be be reviewing this year's curriculum outline and course expectations in the syllabus
WHY IS IT IMPORTANT: It will be helpful for you to understand the topics we will cover this year so you know where we're going. The syllabus will also help you understand fully all the behavior expectations I have for this class.

Art is practice. Effort - especially for people beginning their artistic career - is much more important than creativity.

We will practice our artistic skills every day with the same focus and routine as if we were on a competitive sports team.

Part of every project grade will include a score for focus and engagement. I will be paying attention to how you use your time. These are easy points and should pad your grade by about 30%.
