WHAT ARE WE LEARNING: How create a comic.
WHY IS IT IMPORTANT: This is final puzzle piece of our class. Put all you've learned together to make your own illustrated narrative.
HOW WILL MY TEACHER KNOW WHAT I LEARNED: You will draw panels and images that illustrate the story idea you created with your elevator pitch.
Step 1: Pencils
The first thing I did was sketch; drawing fast and loose to work out my idea for a panel composition.
Step 2: Ink Outlines
After had all the elements of my panel composed, I traced over my work in a NEW LAYER to get my outlines polished and clear.
Step 3: Ink Color
Once my outlines were in place, I added value shading in crosshatched lines.
After you add your guides, click on the "View" tab again.
Go back and make sure that there is not a check mark next to the "Snap" setting
I want you to trace these boxes to create panels for a comic page.
First, create one row of three boxes.
Then trace one big panel around the rest of your boxes; that's three of your guidelines wide and two guidelines tall. Depending on whether your canvas is portrait or landscape, it will look like one of these two examples.
