WHAT ARE WE LEARNING: How to start creating our final landscapes by thinking about composition.
WHY IS IT IMPORTANT: By learning and practicing composition you will create art in which every element is placed intentionally in the most pleasing manner.
HOW WILL MY TEACHER KNOW WHAT I LEARNED: You will create a three by three grid on your artwork to check the position and composition of all your focal elements.
Click on the tab "View"
>Guides
>>New Guide Layout
In the popup window, adjust your settings to match this example.
This will create a 3x3 grid.
Use this grid to check the position of the focal elements in your composition.
FOCAL ELEMENTS SHOULD BE PLACED AT THE INTERSECTION OF GRID LINES OR ALONG THEM.
The marquee tool looks like this. Use it to click and drag a box around your thumbnail.
